English: A work of art - a modern stone built sheepfold at Bwlch Goriwaered The sheepfold stands next to the old drovers' road over Bwlch y Goriwaered. The name Bwlch y Goriwaered means "pass of the declivity". There is an old Welsh proverb which provides comfort for the walker or cyclist battling up a steep hill - "Nid oes gallt heb oriwaered", which translates as "there is no such a thing as a hill without its declivity". |
