| Description |
English: A view over Nottingham Midland Station, in the English city of Nottingham. This is an early-morning view from the temporary footbridge which is the main way on to the station while the Carrington Street concourse is closed because of tramway works. In the background, at roof level, is the Karlsruhe Friendship Bridge, the new tramway bridge. It has just been inched into position and will carry the tramway extension to Clifton and Chilwell. It crosses the station on the same alignment as the old Great Central Railway bridge which was removed in the 1980s. The distinctive station car park on Queen's Road is in the background on the left. The train in Platform 1 was bound for Manchester and Liverpool. |
