| Description | A view of Saigon from the rooftop restaurant of my hotel. Apart from an enclosed dining hall, there was seating on the side balcony outside. Once could also sit facing outward, placing one's plate on a long stone slab running alongside the balcony balustrade, from where I took this picture. The tapered building at the far end is the Financial Tower or some such. No sooner had I taken this picture that the heavens opened up, and it started pouring. I had to run to the enclosed dining area, and despite the heavy breakfast crowd, did manage to find a place to sit, and more importantly, without impeaching on anyone's privacy. (like, excuse me, mind if I join at this table etc.). (Saigon/ HCM, Vietnam, Nov. 2016) |
