I visited Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observation to test the image quality of SIGMA DP1 Merrill. I shoot the same photo with Nikon D4 before, so what about SIGMA DP1 Merrill? I used the same settings but a exposure time 13sec for DP1, and 15sec for D4. The air conditions - like humidity and dust density in the air - are different and might affected the image qualities. But I am sure the following things. (1) SIGMA DP1 is better on image sharpness and detail. (2) Nikon D4 is better on dynamic range. When it comes to viewing a photo on a screen, I think dynamic range is more important, because a screen is limited on image resolution. Still so, I'm amazed with the remarkable image quality with SIGMA DP1 Merrill. 東京都庁の展望台に行ってDP1 Merrillの画質チェックをしてきました。以前、D4で同じように撮影した写真があったのでそれとの比較です。設定はほぼ同じですが、露出時間がD4が15秒、DP1が13秒です。撮影した時期が違うため、湿度や大気中のチリの密度が違い、画質に影響しているかもしれませんが (1) SIGMA DP1 Merrillの方が解像力やシャープさで上 (2) Nikon D4の方がダイナミックレンジ(白とびしにくさ、黒つぶれしにくさ)で上 という結果になりました。画面の解像度は限られているので、個人的には画面で写真を見るには解像力よりもダイナミックレンジの方が重要だと思っていますが、それでもコンパクトカメラとはとても思えない画質はすばらしいです。 [ SIGMA DP1 Merrill, 19mm, f/8.0, 13sec, ISO100, SIGMA Photo Pro 5.3.2 ] |
