Summary
[edit]DescriptionA unique visitor (50411046797).jpg |
This is an Airbus A330-200, the version of the A330 with the shortest fuselage. The type is a rare visitor to Europe and in this case a unique aircraft. Only 28 of this variant were ever made and less are still flying - mostly in government or VIP use. This one is the only one in the world still in commercial use. Its operated by the airline Conviasa, a Venezuelan airline that normally only operates in South America and the Caribbean. I caught it on 3 October 2020 flying over Europe (for its final flight perhaps?) Or perhaps being delivered to another operator? Apologies for the less than perfect photo, I had to take it in a hurry once I realised this unusual aircraft was passing. As I write, mid-morning 3 October 2020, it's still in the air, approaching Southern Italy. PS It landed in Turkey. |
