Description
English: Fleuron from book:
A treatise of fortification, containing the ancient and modern method of the construction and defense of places. And the manner of carrying on sieges, explain'd more at large than in any other Book yet extant. Written Originally in French, by Mr. Ozanam, Professor of the Mathematicks. Illustrated with 46 curious copper plates. Done into English, and amended in several places, by J. T. Desaguliers of Hart-Hall, Oxon. with an appendix, concerning that manner of fortifying, which is truly Mr. Vauban's: Never before in English.
