Very severe burns resulted ;knee-joint improved to such an extent that patient can move joint. Plate 164.—Raying a case of psoriasis, or ulcer on leg. This Instruction Plate shows afoil-covered card-board cut to fit the margins of a patch of psoriasis. A thin layer of surgicalcotton is placed over the patch, and the shield is then tied on the leg with two strings. Thepatient rests easily on a couch. The tube is seen connected with the Bario-Vacuum AutomaticRegulator, and correctly adjusted over the lesion, but for convenience of photographing thiwires are disconnected from the electrical apparatus. In treatment start the tube into action^and regulate the dosage by pulling out the rod seen at the right of the cut. The disease in this case was confined to a cir-cumscribed area on the wrist about the size of a five-shilling piece,covered with dry scabs.
