[edit]
Description
English: A symbolic gravestone in Durisdeer Churchyard There are many good examples of old symbolic stones in the churchyard. This one for David Scott who died December 12th 1747, has emblems of mortality with the horizontal hourglass and crossed bones. The trade symbols of mallet, square and dividers shows that he was a carpenter.
