English: U.S. Airforce Airman 1st Class McCray from Kaiserslautern Military Community Fire and Emergency Services, Engine 526, assists a simulated casualty with a broken arm during exercise Maroon Surge 22 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, March 10, 2022. Joint medical response exercises such as Maroon Surge 22 enable U.S. forces and allied partners to coordinate mutual activities, maintain connections and achieve interoperability in support of U.S. national security policy and military strategy.
