A 1907 report on the resources of Washington state describes Redmond as a small village whose residents are employed primarily in logging and farming. The report goes on to say that there is "abundant room for additional population to engage in these activities." In 1910, Redmond had a populaton of 642. This photographic postcard showing a street in Redmond was probably made sometime between 1906 and 1908. The buildings shown along the dirt street include two livery stables, two restaurants and a bar. The photographer, Wallace, may be Winfred Wallace, listed in a 1913 King County directory.
