Summary

[edit]
Description A still shot of the bubbling mud volcano you saw in the previous picture. Notes about the mud volcanoes appear in previous captions. A bit off the track, you can couple a visit to the mud volcanoes with with the petroglyphs in Gobustan. It is a bit off a rough drive out but I had never seen anything like these before...it was almost hypnotic looking at the mud volcanoes spitting up mud and bubbling away. (Note to my Facebook viewers: the video I refer to above seem to have disappeared from my Fb album though it did upload correctly. To see the video, please see this album on Flickr). (Gobustan, Azerbaijan, Sept. 2017)
