Title |
A silver struck Post Medievl coin of Isabel and Ferdinand |
||
Description |
English: A silver struck Post Medieval coin, probably of Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain, 16th century. The obverse is very worn, with parts of geometric objects, resembling ribbons, visible. The rest is illegible. The reverse has a bundle or sheaf of arrows. The coin is bent over, with the bent surface measuring 4.94 mm L; near the outer edge of the bend, or fold, is a piercing, beside REX in the obverse legend. Opposite the bend, the coin has a cut 5.12 mm L; the coin is clipped along the legend between this cut and the bend, leaving the extant legend irregularly bent. The coin measures 18.90 mm L x 16.94 mm W x 0.46 mm TH and weighs 1.10 g.
