English: A silver medieval clipped penny of Edward III (AD 1327-1377) dating AD 1356-1361. This is an Archiepiscopal Issue Mint of York. North (1991:55, no.1228). Fourth Coinage, treaty period, transitional series.

Obverse description: Crowned bust of the king facing pellet either side of neck.

Reverse description: Long cross with 3 pellets in each quarter, quatrefoil enclosing pellet in centre.
