A sample of Roman box flue tile fragments.
Description
English: Forty eight fragments of box flue tiles (tubuli). All fragments have the combed keying for the plaster in both wave and cross-hatched patterns. On some of the fragments traces of plaster are still present. Red/orange sandy fabric with infrequent grog inclusions and some air spaces. Weight: 9000g (approximately).
