Description |
English: Panoramic view of small, dark room with exposed adobe walls, window, and staircase A right turn immediately upon entering the church will lead you into the room where the sacred ceremony of baptism was performed. From birth and baptism through life and death, the imported Catholic religion became a part of the lives of community members. Here adobe walls, nine feet thick with an inner rock core, support the massive bell tower above you. A stairway (inaccessible to visitors) leads up to the robing room and the entrance to the choir loft, then on up to the roof and the bells. Let the voice of Father Liberós tell what once took place in this room.
