The works are embraced inseveral buildings and are equippedwith all the latest improved machineryand apparatus necessary for the sys-tematic conduct of the business. Em-ployment is afforded to from 200 to250 hands. The processes by whichthe manufacture of the specialties areconducted in these works, are of themost perfect character, while the ut-most care is exreised by the manage-ment to maintain the highest stand-ard of excellence, so that the goodsof the house are absolutely unrivalledand are in rapidly increasing demandin all sections of Canada. The officersof the company are: Geo. F. Benson,president and managing director;Chas. R. Hosmer, vice-president; R.Cunningham, secretary; and HughMcArthur, treasurer . They have hadmany years experience in their var-ious lines and are acquainted withevery detail pertaining to them. Per-sonally they are highly regarded intrade circles for their energy and in-tegrity.

The stockcarried consists of choice groceries,china and crockery ware, fruits andconfectionery. The business was es- H. J. BRINDLE. Figuring conspicuously as a repre-sentative house in Cardinal and prom-inent in its line is the one mentionedabove.
