English: A radar reflective lighted buoy is set at the west end of the Jones Beach Inlet jetty near New Haven, Conn., Aug. 1, 2013. U.S. Coast Guardsmen, assigned to Aids to Navigation Team Moriches, set the buoy to replace a similar one that had been damaged by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012. Hurricane Sandy formed in the Western Caribbean Sea and affected Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and The Bahamas before making landfall in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. |
