English: A cast lead alloy biconvex spindle whorl, probably of late medieval or early post-medieval date, AD1400 - 1600. Both sides are decorated with two concentric rings of pellets. There is an indentation in the sidewall of the central perforation. The whorl is 32.1mm in diameter and 12.2mm thick. It weighs 57.88gm. |
