Description |
English: A cast lead spindle whorl of uncertain date but probably medieval, AD 1200 - 1600. The whorl is plano-convex with gently sloping faces. One side is undecorated (or the design is entirely worn away) and the other has a pattern of raised lines arranged in chevrons radiating from the centre. The central perforation is 9.06mm. The whorl is 24.2mm in diameter and 10.3mm thick. It weighs 30.97gm. |
