English: A post medieval, copper alloy, double loop spectacle buckle dating from 1500-1650. The loops are oval in shape and the buckle is undecorated. It is 24mm long, 21mm wide and 2.2mm thick. It weighs 1.97gm. For reference see Whitehead (2003), Buckles 1250-1800, page 55, number 321. |
