A post medieval lead alloy button dating to the 16th century.
Description
English: A post medieval lead alloy button dating to the 16th century. The button is plano-convex with an integral loop which is now missing. The decoration on the convex side consists of a central pellet within a cast star motif. Around the edge of the button are five semi-circle motifs, each connected to a point of the star, with a pellet in the centre of each semi-circle. There are also five pellets within the gaps made by the star and semi-circle motifs.

Dimensions: diameter: 11.07 mm; thickness: 4.70 mm; weight: 2.05g.
