Description |
English: A post medieval lead alloy ball, probably pistol shot, dating 17th - 18th century. There are the remains of a casting sprue that have not been trimmed to level the surface. A shallow groove spirals approximately 2.5 times on the surface of the shot. There are two other shorter grooves that cut the surface on an opposite alignment to the longer spiralling groove.
