Description
English: An incomplete, cast copper alloy , post medieval button, dating from the seventeenth century. It is hemispherical, being flat on the underside and domed on the upper side. The underside carries the remains of an integral suspension loop, but this has broken away and if missing. . The button is 10.8mm in diameter and 7mm thick. It weighs 2.49gm.

Similar buttons are illustrated in Bailey, 2004, Buttons and Fasteners, 500BC-AD1840, page 35, numbers 8.19 to 8.22.
