A post-medieval copper alloy crotal bell dating AD 1500-1800.
Description
English: A post-medieval copper alloy crotal bell dating AD 1500-1800. The bell has a rectangular suspension loop at the top. The spherical bell is divided horizontally in two equal halves by a raised circumferential moulded rib. On the upper half are two diametrically opposed circular perforations, one has been enlarged by damage; the other has a diameter of 5.47mm. The lower half has two sound holes joined by an integral sound slit. There is no decoration and the iron pea is no longer present.

Dimensions: diameter: 26.30mm; length: 31.71mm; weight: 13.95g.
