the cavetto painted with Imperial Horse Guards, the gold border with an Imperial eagle flanked by a wreath of laurel and oak leaves, after a painting by Charlemagne, the reverse with an identifying inscription and signed by the artist T. Semenov, dated 1878, with green Imperial cipher of Alexander II
