Title |
A pair of Roman glass beaker sherds |
||
Description |
English: Two late Roman glass fragments (4th century AD), both part of the same conical beaker with blown decoration. One is a body fragment. The other is of the rim and part of the upper body. They are pale green/colourless and have a very bubbly texture. The rim diameter is 70/72cm.
The rim edge has been cracked off and left unworked. It has a straight upper body with the sides tapering inwards. The rim has a parallel horizontal band below the rim. The blown decoration features at least three discernible hexagonal patterns. |
