A new geographical grammar, and complete gazetteer; upon an Improved, Enlarged, and Scientific Plan. Wherein Those Parts of Astronomy which are connected with Geography, the Use of both Globes, and The Nature, Use, and Construction of Maps, are minutely explained; and the Continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, and America, with their Islands, including all the valuable Discoveries made in the most remarkable Voyages and Travels through both Hemispheres, copiously described: Together with the Rise, Progress, and Present State of all the Empires, Kingdoms, and States in the known World; with respect to Situation, Extent, Climate, Soil, Produce, Government, Power, Opulence, Trade, Manufactures, Genius, Language, Manners, Customs, Religions, &c. Embellished and Illustrated with A New Set of Maps and other Engravings accommadated to this Work. To which are added, the elements of chronology. and A Copious List of remarkable Events, with their Dates, from the earliest Account of Time to the Present.
