C(t\Zza-r-^i/l^n,^e/: (Titf. jj. zyjS. (I) T^he Vulture. Numb. I. ■ THIS Bird is as large as an Eagle^ its Bill is black andcrooked at the End, after the manner of all the Vul-ture Kind. Its Eyes large, the Pupil black, the Irides ofa yellowifh flame Colour. Its Head and Neck bald, ha-ving a foft hairy Down inftead of Feathers; at the lowerpart of its Neck is a round RufF of Feathers very narrowand long, of a yellowiih dun Colour. The whole Bird,excepting the Quill Feathers of the Wings and Tail, is ofthe fame Colour. It was feathered down to its Feet, whichwere of an Afh Colour; the Talons black. It is a fierce bold Bird, and will ftrike at any thing thatcomes near him : I faw him at Tottenham-Court Fair^ wherehe was brought to be fhewn j the Man who had it called itthe Eagle of the Sun,
