A late Bronze Age to Iron Age denticulate
Description
English: A probable later Bronze Age / early Iron age denticulate, c.1000-0BC.

Description: The denticulate is irregularly shaped and formed from a utilised secondary flake, or early date to the final tool. The flake's later reuse is clear by the fact the majority of the flint surface is heavily patinated, while retouch and some flaking has removed the patination. The main shaping flaking of the flint is very subtle and produced by soft hammer technology. The bulb of percussion has been removed and the initial conchoidal fracturing is unclear. The retouch covers 3 sides and is short steep and scaled. The patinated surface is mottled blue white, dark grey and light beige. The retouched areas are far less mottled but similarly coloured to the dark grey and beige patinated areas.

Measurements: 54.39mm long, 37.46mm wide, 9.86mm thick and 24.54g in weight.
