| Description | A last look at the Church of Kish before we move on. This is the oldest church in the Caucasus originally used by the Albanians. The church is no longer in active use and is preserved now as a museum. Despite the beautiful surroundings, getting here was a real torture on a single track super steep flag-stone road on the face of the mountain. Out Hyundai Accent car refused to climb on a couple of occasions but we eventually made it. Although the way down is different, our already difficult ascent was made even worse by traffic coming down the mountain- the wrong way- leading to several back and forth switchbacks.
