A large room with corinthian columns and swags of cloth, where Indian and European men, nobles and soldiers are gathered, watching Sir Charles Warre Malet hand a scrolled paper to the Indian ruler sitting in the centre; a shrine with a statue of Ganesh, arched windows and niches other statues of Hindhu deities in the wall to left; after Daniell; unfinished proof before margin fully cleared.
