| Description |
English: A home on the hill For some reason unknown to me the area on this hilltop remains uncultivated. Burrowing animals have made a home for themselves here, presumably taking advantage of remaining undisturbed by agricultural activity. The solitary trees seen in the background denote the course of New Road, King's Covert (in adjacent grid square) can be seen beyond.
Not all of Norfolk is flat - the landscape in North Norfolk was formed during the last ice age, leaving distinctive topographical features such as the steep northern slope and the more gentle southern face of the Cromer Ridge with its outlying spurs, hills and undulations. |
