Charles Mollet, who had succeeded his father Claude, alsoreceived 500 francs, Frangoise Le Notre, sister of Andre and widow of Simon Bouchard,received 91 o francs for the maintenance of the orangery of the Tuileries; Pierre Desgots, hisbrother-in-law, had the care of the palisades at 1,200 francs. Appointments in connectionwith the Royal buildings and gardens ran in families. Charles Mollet in turn was succeededby his son at the end of the seventeenth century, so that three generations held the officefrom the time of Henri IV till the Regency. * Comptes, i, 661.
