Title
a fragment of a post medieval clapper bell
Description
English: A fragment from the rim of a cast copper alloy clapper bell, probably of post-medieval date, AD 1500 - 1800. The fragment has a patchy, dark grey patina suggesting a high white metal content. It is 48.9mm long, 30.3mm wide and 5.3mm thick. It weighs 23.21gm. The bell rim diameter seems to be greater than 30cm, but it is possible that the fragment has become bent and distorted.
