Description
English: A complete Post Medieval copper alloy mount, dating to the 17th century. The mount is asymmetrical and flat with two integral pointed spikes for attachment at the back, these have a rectangular cross-section and are bent-over. The mount is decorated with eight punched annulets which form a flower motif.

Similar asymmetrical mounts can be found in Read (2001, nos. 285-303) though none match the style of this example exactly. The mounts in Read ( 2001) all date to the 17th century.

Dimensions: length: 30.07mm; width: 16.15mm; thickness: 5.55mm; weight: 4.01g.
