Summary

[edit]
Description A closer view of the petroglyphs of the two aurochs (a type of ox, now extinct) etched on the rock face outside and next to the Mother Cave. Over the centuries, the elements, war, earthquakes, vandalism and sheer neglect have taken their toll on the petroglyphs, many of who have faded considerably, but this exposed one was still discernible. Aurochs seem to have been fairly widespread and loved in thos days as they probably supplied the local residents with milk, meat, dung for the floor and walls and leather and hide for clothing and footwear.
