Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A circle of trees at Poulsden Lacey Much of the land near the house is planted as park land with single and grouped trees. In this group of trees the horse chestnut is turning brown – in part because autumn is nearly here – but possibly a week or so early because of blight. Note the horizontal bottom of the tree foliage. The cattle provide an explanation of the cause. Any lower foliage would provide a tasty meal for a passing cow or horse in the spring.
