Title |
A cast lead powder flask nozzle (or funnel) probably dating to the 17th century. |
||
Description |
English: A cast lead powder flask nozzle (or funnel) probably dating to the 17th century. The object consists of a container below which is a nozzle. The container is circular in plan. The container is 22.81mm in diameter and 15.06mm deep. At the top the rim is ragged and at the sides there are two seams, one opposite the other. These seams may be the result of joins having been soldered or casting seams. Projecting from the centre of the container base is a tapering integral nozzle (or funnel) which is 18.55mm in length. The nozzle is circular in cross-section and hollow. It has an external diameter of 9.70mm and an internal diameter of 2.49mm. On each side of the container is a small protruding handle which is perforated.
