Description |
English: A cast lead-alloy weight, probably a spindle whorl of probable Medieval date 1100 - 1500 AD. The weight is circular and biconical with a circular perforation running through the centre. The weight has an external diameter of 27mm, and the central perforation has a diameter of 11mm. One side of the weight is decorated with raised pellets radiating from the centre in two lines. The weight has a dull cream/light brown colour. |
