Title
A cast copper alloy probable buckle or strap distributor, dating from the 14th-17th century AD.
Description
English: An incomplete probable cast copper alloy harness buckle or strap distributor (length: 29.1mm; width: 17mm; thickness: 5.1mm; weight: 4.09g). An undecorated artefact of a elongated D-shape with a slight raised bar in the centre and a half-circle gap at one end. The buckle is slight worn but in a fair condition, with a dark brown patina due to the artefact probably being coated in a substance.

A similar example is illustrated in Clark's 'The Medieval Horse and its Equipment: Medieval Finds from Excavations in London', 1995, page 59, ref no F75, and is probably dated from the 15th-17th century AD.
