A cast copper alloy Roman brooch fragment
Description
English: A cast copper alloy Roman brooch fragment consisting of the catchplate and foot. The foot tapers from a subrectangular bow to a flat bottom. The catchplate has open work, with a rounded triangle on the bottom and circle above. It is in good condition with a dark green patina. It measures 24.73 mm L x 10.36 mm W x 3.31 mm TH and weighs 1.65 g. A similar style of catchplate can be seen in Hattatt 256.
