| Description |
English: A bachelor group of stags ... near Kinbrace Farm; tumuli and a chambered cairn can be glimpsed in the background, the cairn being higher up on the hill, just below the woodland. Many Highland estates offer fishing for wild salmon in their rivers and for brown trout in their lochs. Another source of income are the large herds of red deer that can often be seen roaming the hillsides. The animals appear to know when it is safe to stay put, and on approaching them quietly and not leaving the car it is possible to take pictures at a fairly close range. This bachelor group belongs to Borrobol Estate, located further south on the River Helmsdale. |
