English: PD Talisman was launched on Monday, 30 March 1896 at A & J Inglis in Glasgow. With single diagonal steam engine and a haystack boiler she achieved a speed on trials of 18.1 knots. She was used for the Craigendoran to Rothesay service of the North British Steam Packet Company. Her tonnage was increased to 279 tons in 1910 and then 293 tons in 1919. She became minesweeper HMS Talla during the First World War. She was scrapped by TW Ward at Barrow in 1934. |
