| Description |
English: A Wade Road. A889. Once a military road linking Stirling with Fort Augustus, this is one of the few bits of General Wade's roads that is still a main road. Modern traffic on a 18th century route would be expected to be difficult, and the roads wanderings in all three available dimensions has led to a reputation for being a dangerous road. The AA has called the A889 the most dangerous primary route in Britain. Since then there have been a lot of signs added to try and engineer down the number of accidents. |
