English: A U.S. Soldier assigned to the 2nd Cavalry Regiment competes with Soldiers from other units during the land navigation day course as part of the Expert Infantryman Badge Competition at Grafenwoehr Training Area, near Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany, Oct. 20, 2014. The land navigation day course was followed by an Army physical fitness test that was given to the competitors. The U.S. Army Expert Infantry Badge is awarded to infantry and Special Forces Soldiers who complete a rigorous series of tests measuring proficiency in physical fitness, marksmanship, navigation and tactical skills. |
