English: A U.S. Sailor, right foreground, assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) is welcomed home by a family member in San Diego May 14, 2013, after completing an eight-month deployment to the western Pacific. The Rushmore was part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) with embarked Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The Peleliu ARG conducted maritime security operations in the U.S. 7th and 5th Fleet areas of responsibility. |
