| Description |
English: A Significant Shadow The shadow of A'Chioch (the Pap) on the cliffs of Sron na Ciche. Part of Coire Lagan lochan in the foreground.
In 1899 descending from Coire Lagan in the late afternoon Professor Norman Collie photographed the shadow thrown by the A'Chioch (the Pap) across the slabs. He deduced that it must be thrown by a huge rock projection standing out from the cliff face of Sron na Ciche. However, it was not until 1906 Norman Collie and John Mackenzie first explored and climbed AChioch. References: The Cuillin of Skye. Humble, B.H. 1952.
