NORFOLK (Jan. 25, 2016) Aviation Boatswains Mate (Fuel) Airman Kody Roberts, from Phoenix, stands a security watch aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) as the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56) departs Naval Station Norfolk. George Washington is homeported in Norfolk after serving seven years in Yokosuka, Japan as the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
