Title
A Roman dolphin brooch
Description
English: Cast Roman Colchester derivative, hinged brooch which is missing the spring and pin. The wings have two incised lines around their circumference one prior to their terminal the other mid way between the terminal and bow. The bow is semi-circular in cross section and has a narrow ridge running its length. The same hatched pattern runs down the bow ridge and within the incised wing lines. The brooch is a green colour and except for the missing pin/spring is in a good condition.
