Description
English: A Roman copper alloy fragment from a two-piece Colchester double-lug type brooch (AD43-80). Only the head of the brooch remains, the majority of the bow, spring and pin are missing. The brooch has a plate at the back of the head which is pierced twice; the axis bar for the spring passes through the lower hole and the chord through the upper; part of the axis bar is still present in the lower perforation. Dimensions: length: 21.00mm; width: 20.52mm; thickness: 20.33mm; weight: 4.25g.
